Key points
Malik Nabers was named NFC Offensive Player of the Month after 36 catches for 509 yards and two touchdowns in October.
He is the first Giants wide receiver to win the award since monthly honors began in 1986.
Nabers posted 100-plus yards in all four October games and now has 48 catches for 605 yards this season.
Malik Nabers just collected the biggest individual honor of his Giants career. The NFL named the star receiver NFC Offensive Player of the Month for October, as we shared on X.
"Malik Nabers has been named NFC Offensive Player of the Month for October," Big Blue Film Room posted. He led the league with 509 receiving yards on 36 catches and two touchdowns, per NFL.com.
That production came while the Giants started three different quarterbacks and still stayed atop the NFC East. We tracked his early surge when Nabers led the NFL in receiving yards over a three-week stretch.
Why Malik Nabers' October Stood Alone
Nabers averaged 127.3 yards per game in October and topped 100 yards in each of the four contests, according to NFL.com.
His eight catches of 25-plus yards and 22 first downs via the pass led the league, Giants.com reported. He is the only player this season with 500-plus yards and 35-plus receptions in a four-game span.
The honor is also historic in New York. Nabers is the first Giants wide receiver to win the award since monthly honors began in 1986, per Giants.com. He is also the first Giants offensive winner since Eli Manning in November 2008.
It is also his first career Player of the Month award, NBC Sports noted.

How Nabers Produced Through Three Giants Quarterbacks
Nabers caught passes from Jaxson Dart, Jameis Winston and JJ McCarthy during the award window, Giants.com noted. The constant was his ability to get open for whoever was under center.
We covered that chemistry when Nabers and DJ Reader made PFF's Team of the Week. McCarthy also said after the bye that he feels caught up on the offense, which should only help Nabers going forward.
The caveat is sample size. Four games is a strong month, not a finished season, and Philadelphia is next on the schedule.
What Comes Next for Nabers and the Giants
The 4-2-1 Giants visit the Eagles on Sunday looking to extend their NFC East lead, per Giants.com.
Safety Jevón Holland won NFC Defensive Player of the Month for September. New York now has monthly winners on both sides of the ball.
Nothing in the award announcement changes the next game plan. It does confirm that Nabers is carrying the passing game at a league-best rate.
Our Take: Nabers Was Always Going to Be a Star
I said Malik Nabers was my favorite Giants pick since they drafted and traded for Eli. It was obvious he was going to be a superstar.
I have kept it simple since then: Malik is so good. That was not hype. It was the eye test every week.
His Week 5 line of 20 targets, 11 catches, 121 yards and a touchdown was another reminder. When the volume is there, the production follows.
Looking ahead, I still want the unfair offense I sketched in October: Dart, Jonathan Taylor, Malik and Isaiah Likely. Add a healthy supporting cast around him and defenses have nowhere to hide.
This award is what that kind of receiver looks like when the ball finds him every week. Nabers just made franchise history. The next step is making defenses pay in Philadelphia.
