Key points

The Giants 2026 rookie class is carrying a real load. Seven games into John Harbaugh's first season, the Giants are 4-2-1 and on their Week 8 bye. Two first-round picks are every-down starters, and a third-round receiver is third on the team in targets.

This tracker follows all seven draft picks plus undrafted kicker Dominic Zvada. Snap counts and stats come from Pro Football Reference, and draft details come from Giants.com. It runs through Week 7 and will be updated during the season.

The Giants made seven picks in April, and all seven have played at least one snap.

Arvell Reese: The Every-Down Linebacker

His highest tackle total came against Tennessee in Week 3, when he made 13 tackles and earned a game ball. Reese also plays on special teams, logging between 6% and 26% of those snaps each week.

Harbaugh has noticed. He called Reese "very coachable, very smart, very football aware" after that Titans game.

Francis Mauigoa: The Starting Right Guard

Against the Saints, right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor was inactive with a calf injury. Marcus Mbow took his spot, as we covered in Marcus Mbow Allows One Pressure in Giants Start vs Saints. Mauigoa still played every snap.

His best pass-blocking day came at Houston. Mauigoa posted a 100% pass block win rate in Week 7, the best among rookie offensive linemen that week, according to PFF.

Malachi Fields: From Rotation to Starter

We cover where Fields fits in the passing game in our Giants pass catchers target share guide.

Colton Hood and the Giants' Day 3 Picks

Colton Hood, the second-round cornerback, played 100% and 95% of the defensive snaps in Weeks 2 and 3, then played only on special teams. He was ruled out of the Saints game with a concussion and returned on special teams at Houston.

Sixth-round linebacker Jack Kelly has not played a defensive snap. He has been a core special teamer, playing between 73% and 89% of those snaps every week.

Dominic Zvada: The Undrafted Kicker

The Giants' kicker is a rookie too. Dominic Zvada signed as an undrafted free agent out of Michigan in May.

What to Watch in the Giants 2026 Rookie Class

Three things will define the rest of the class's first year. The first is Reese in coverage, where he has one interception and four passes defensed so far.

The second is whether Fields gets back above 90% of the snaps with JJ McCarthy, who started at Houston, at quarterback. The third is whether Hood wins back a defensive role.

The Giants return Nov. 8 at Philadelphia. This tracker will be updated after each game.

Our Take: Arvell Reese Is the Headliner

I said on Oct. 1 that Arvell Reese will be an All-Pro at some point. The talent is obvious, but there's an extra "it" factor too: he loves football and plays with a high football IQ.

The only thing holding him back from being the best at his position is experience, and that comes with snaps. He's played almost all of them.

Reese and Francis Mauigoa were on my September list of major John Harbaugh additions who have made a real impact.

Special teams was the other story. In early October I wrote that between Zvada, Jordan Stout and the long snapper, I'd never seen the Giants' special teams look this good.

Houston tested that. On the day Zvada went 0 for 2, I said the Giants need to bring in veteran kicking competition, at least to push him.
